Size 16 Seals Fur Nymph

Will be the fly of choice when you know the mayfly are about to hatch, but there are no visible signs of feeding trout. It is a great searching fly with the aid of streamcraft just before the mayfly start.

 

Size 16 Smith Emerger's

Will be the fly of choice when the mayfly nymph is ascending through the water to the surface. Its foam head keeps it floating, while the marabou body and tail bring the fly down just like the natural.

 

Size 16 Para Duns

Should be tied to your leader when the winged dun transforms from the emerging nymph. This pattern imitates the drifting dun and floats upright all the time due to its horizontal hackle.

 

Size 16 Macquarie Reds

You won't need another fly pattern as it imitates the natural mayfly spinner that's in the process of mating and laying eggs during an evening rise.

 

Size 16 Rumpf Spent Spinners
