For
over twenty years Bruce Smith has been fly-fishing the many
lakes and streams within the states of New South Wales, Tasmania
and Victoria.
Throughout
this time Bruce has shown a dedication to fly-fishing like
no other.
Photography
has also experienced this dedication where his camera has
never left his side. This has enabled him to encapsulate
fishing images and nature's experience's in a truly remarkable
way.

Also
remarkable is the locations traveled, Bruce has fished and
captured images within the Monaro and Snowy Mountains districts
of New South Wales, the Central Highlands of Ballarat, the
lake district of the Golden triangle, while the Goulburn
River and it's feeder streams have been visited on a weekly
bases. Tasmania has been another location keenly fished by
Bruce from the high Central Plateau to the lowland mayfly
streams.
In
the year of 1992 Bruce began a guiding business within the
state of Victoria which was one of the very first guiding
operations to take place and was the foundation for others
to follow.
Teaching
the art of fly-fishing was important to Bruce, however he
gained more satisfaction out of introducing people to nature
and everything that surrounds it. His guiding operation continued
for ten years until writing and photography had a greater
attraction and he committed himself full time to this line
of work.
Bruce
has been a fly-fishing Consultant,Writer and Photographer
to many publications, some of these include-
Fly
Life, Fishnet, Victorian Fishing Monthly, Fishing World,Modern
Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Southwest Fishing, Northeast
Fishing, Go Fishing and the book Rex`Hunt Fishing Australia.
Bruce
also gives reports and fishing advice to many other media
outlets like 3AW fishing radio show,
the A.B.C. radio show,3SCR fishing radio show and The Outdoor
Life Radio Show on 94.1fm.
On
many occasions Bruce has contributed his expertise to many
video and D.V.D products while being seen on -
Channel
Seven and Foxtel TV in
Rex
Hunt Fishing Show.
Bruce
has, and continues to conduct Fly fishing seminars and Fly
tying demonstrations to many clubs, organisation, and corporate
programs.
Reviews
for both accommodation and products are conducted by Bruce
on a regular base and held in high regard to provide an honest
and in depth appraisal.
It
can be said that Bruce has a passion for this quiet sport
and that he has acquired many years of knowledge which he
freely shares, but he will be the first to tell you that
we are always learning and we'll never know it all, which
is one of the great attractions to these Creative arts.
